About PixelPaint

A tribute to MacPaint 1.3 by Bill Atkinson (Apple, 1984), recreated from the source code released by the Computer History Museum (catalog 102658076) — a behavioral port, never a code translation.

Known departures from the original: a 16-color palette atop the 1-bit engine, a 100-step undo stack (the original swapped one buffer), selectable eraser sizes, an optional scattered spray mode, and reference-image tracing. Brush and spray paint through the current pattern, as Bill intended.
